If you also use iPhone, your luggage will not go missing from the flight, Apple is going to come up with a clever way.
New Delhi. Many times it happens with air travelers that their luggage is left at the airport or in the flight or does not reach on time and they have to face a lot of trouble. The Apple company now has the solution to your problem. Therefore, if you use an iPhone, you will not have to face this kind of problem in future. For this, Apple has started special preparations and is talking to many airlines.
In fact, many passengers fly with Apple AirTag on their luggage. Such passengers will not have to face problems like lost luggage in future. Apple has now started a new feature called Share Item Location, which will tell the user the location of their AirTag. Apart from this, features like Find My Network will also prove helpful in finding your stuff.
How will the feature work
Users running iPhone will share the item location link by going to Find My app in their mobile. Anyone who gets this link will click on it and go to a website from where the location will be shown on an interactive map. As soon as a new location is shared on this website, it will be updated automatically. It will also start showing the time stamp of the update.
Which airlines will join Apple
Apple says that it will work directly with airlines and the shared item location will be kept completely private and secure. Whoever gets this link will be able to open and check Apple’s account, for this only the email address will have to be used. The company has said that it will soon join 15 airlines. These include Aer Lingus, Air Canada, Air New Zealand, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Brussels Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Eurowings, Iberia, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Lufthansa, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Turkish Airlines, United, Virgin Atlantic and Vueling are included.
Currently this facility is available all over the world
Apple said that currently the feature of shared item location is available in most parts of the world. The company has said that the 18.2 beta version of iOS showing this feature will be available in all iPhones very soon. All users running iPhone will get the feature to update this software for free. After updating it, everyone will be able to use it while catching a flight.
